By adopting an animal from Animal Protection Norway, you give a homeless animal a new chance at life.
All animals rehomed through our local branches have received a health check, are microchipped (ID-marked), vaccinated, and are either neutered or will be neutered (if a cat or rabbit).
All our local branches rely on foster homes to help as many animals in need as possible. As a foster home, you are an important contributor to more animals receiving help, while also ensuring they are socialized and rehabilitated with a family until they are ready to be adopted into their forever home.
Foster homes receive ongoing support from the local branch and have expenses for food, potential veterinary costs, and equipment for the animal covered.
If you wish to adopt or become a foster home, please contact your nearest local branch.
Dog Adoption:
Several of our local branches have dogs available for rehoming, but not all. To make it easier for you to contact the local branches that have dogs for rehoming, we have listed dogs here that are currently in need of a new forever home or foster home. For inquiries about rehoming other types of animals, please contact your nearest local branch.
Not a member of Animal Protection Norway?
Animal Protection Norway is a nationwide animal welfare organization with 26 local branches spread from north to south. Since 1859, we have worked to ensure that animals are treated with respect and compassion.
With thousands of members supporting us, we advocate for animals to the public, authorities, and media. We spread new ideas where the value of an animal’s life is no longer seen. We intervene where animals are subjected to injustice.
Support us!
By supporting our work, you help homeless animals while also supporting the fight for better legal protection for animals and more animal-friendly legislation.
