Some help centers have volunteers who work with socializing animals. This can range from cuddling and play to active behavioral training. In some cases, you simply sit in the same room as the animal to help it get used to humans.

It can be an advantage to know about animal behavior, and you must be patient by nature. Some of our animals are tame and love affection. Others need time to get used to living in harmony with humans.
